| I was watching the anime yesterday and have found myself wondering whether Cheshire actually died (I don't know whether there's already been a topic on this, so sorry if there is ) He's my fave character (second only to Break) and I was so depressed when he "died" - but what do you guys think..? | |

| I hate to dissapoint but I also think Cheshire died. My logic is as follows Cheshire was destroying his world thinking he would destroy the cast along with himself in order to protect Alyss. the only way out of that wold was through eques and raven, which were both used. if cheshire DID survive he would be in the cat form at the end and not his human cat form. I liked him too | |

| I do think he is dead as wel, despie there being no actually solid proof of it. Based on what did happen, its likely he is dead. | |

| Hmm...now Reim and I were talking a little while ago...i dont think that Cheshire is dead, but perhaps he's in hiding cause he's recovering. Thats just a guess though. I have NO clue if this is related but didnt Cheshire have 2 bells? Break destroyed one of them. And if the bells were containing Alice's memories....then he'd obviously live to protect it right? | |

| @Elliot: Nope her only had one bell. Plus I think the series is close to ending in the manga, so I doubt he surived only to have him be brought back last minute. xD | |

| @Gilbert: Why do you think it's ending?, I hope the manga goes on much longer. I'd be sad if it would end anytime soon! | |

| @Gil- But doesn't he have two other bells some where on his outfit? Like at the ends of his scarf/sash/whateverthehellitwas? *does not understand how his clothes go together* @_@;; Regardless, I think he's probably gone for good. That's too bad. :/ | |

| Hmm. I have a bad suspicion that he's dead, but I just find it kinda odd that they killed off such an awesome and quite important character so soon... | |

| @Konpeito:
Its just a feeling. Usually when a story gets to the point whee only bad shit is happening that means its getting close to the ending. They are currently in a section of the story where a lot is going wrong, and bad guys are being relieved (not to mention killed along with the good guys). Its basically similar to the "mass salughter" in a horror film right before the conclusion. xDD
@Oz:
LOL I forgot about those...who knows then....they might be a fashion statement. xDD

| But I hope they dont finish it soon >_< And I don't want cheshire to truly b dead. He MIGHT be alive, but he probably is dead......... | |

| LOL good point.
@Gil: Hmm....i don't think thats necessarily true. From the looks of it, the Manga would end around book 16, but i heard something about her wanting to make it into a 20 or more volume series. correct me if im wrong but i think the series has a lot of unsolved mysteries The head hunter was first referenced in volume 3. Jun has yet to explain why Oz's existence is a sin. There is also the question of how Oz is actually able to control the Abyss itself. Yeah he has Jack in him but that shouldn't be granting him that kind of power. Then there is the inconsistency of Cheshires bells. Not to mention that they havent made a solid connection between Glen and Elliot. Then there is also Elliots connection to 100 years ago. that could very well be connected to the Glen mystery but....either way. Jun is only solving ine of those things.

| Yes in a recent interview Jun Mochizuki said PH should be around 20 vols long. So we are probably hitting the climax around now and in the coming chapters, but there's still a lot more to explain.
As for Cheshire, we never really saw him "dead" so I have a hard time accepting his "death." At the same time, we have no particular evidence or reason to believe he's alive either. In any case, Break had lopped of 3 of his 4 limbs before he turned into that scary, crying shadow figure that was the last we saw of him, so even if he's alive he's probably not in good shape.
As for the bells, someone pointed out to me recently that the bell Break got was probably Cheshire's small neck bell, but yes he did have two larger bells as well. I wonder if those could contain memories as well?
Either way, Chesshy will live long in my memory of him...he's the best!
