During a fiercely hot summer in Sotoba, a peaceful and quiet village with a population of 1300 people, a series of bizarre deaths begin to occur. At the same time, a strange family moves into a long abandoned mansion in the region. Hospital dean Toshio Ozaki cannot figure out the cause of death in the deceased, initially suspecting an epidemic. As investigations continue between the hospital staff and the residents, it turns out that the village is being attacked by vampires.
The story takes place in a small and what appears to be a peaceful village called, Sotoba. However, this is no ordinary village. Death seems to be tormenting the village and it is a common thing in Sotoba. Natsuno Yuuki, a new resident in Sotoba, hates the village and wants to move back to the city. However, he is determined to solve the mystery behind the strange death occurrences.

It's exactly the type of horror I like best. Psychological shit that screws with your brain till your mentally insane! <3

Even though it has the now ever popular Vampire in it, these vampires likey do NOT sparkle; and they go back to the typical "you never see them cuz they never come out, and when they do your dead" vampire stereotype from the classics. Which makes it even better! 8DDD

Not to mention it kinda gives you a bit of a Higurashi feel as well. It's located in a small village, people start randomly dying for no apparent reason...enough to be considered an epidemic.

Overall this series is awesome, definitally on my favs list for summer anime aside from Kuro 2! <333

Though I didn't like eppy 3 as much as 1 & 2 it was still good. xDDD

GAH! This eppy was good, and the next one should be too! 8DDD

Cliffhangers always make you want more. 8D And that's what keeps a good show alive. If everything was resolved at the end of the episode, you would have nothing to look forward to by the next one.

I need to catch upppp! Darn it, why must I have such a busy schedule now that all the good anime is coming out? Dx

I absolutely LOVE the opening song and animation that goes along with it. *o* Alot.



And is it me, or did I hear something similar to 'Kamikuruso' at around 0:11-0:13 ? XDDDDD I really like the part where their bodies dissolve and they turn into skeletons. <3333 I just find that bad-arse for some reason.

Episode 9 was freaky. And I loved it. <3

I think Seishin's novel might have alot more to do with the plot then we think, kinda like Pandora Hearts and the Holy Knight book. But, that's just what I think. I could be wrong.

I felt sorry for Toshio. He was doing so well looking after that lady for three days, staying up all night and working his hardest, then the bastard with kitty ear hair (forgot his name) comes and screws everything up. Dx

One thing that kinda confuses me, is when the dead turn into vampires (there's a specific name of what they're called, but I forgot) are they the same people as from when they were alive but now undead? Or do they slowly loose themselves as they start taking in blood? Because when Masao rose up, he seemed to be himself. When he had the first taste of that boy's blood is when we see him some what change. Why I ask is because I'm not sure if Nao was conscious that she killed her mother or if her new instincts for needing blood to survive took over.

On a less serious note, is it just me, or do some of the character's hairstyles look plain ridiculous? XDDDDDDD It's kinda hard to take them seriously. *giggles*

Tohru was one of the ones to rise up. And was told to kill Natsuno. He couldn't do it. So Shimizu and the green haired guy went to let Natsuno pick who was gonna bite him...when Tohru comes form behind grabs Natsuno and bites him.

The eppy ended with Natsuno falling to the ground! T___T

I didn't read the summery since I have yet to watch the eppy myself...all I could see is something about Tohru rising from the dead. O_o Must watch NOW!

Poor Natsuno! I knew eventually he was gonna killed off (I was flipping through the manga one day and accidentally saw it), but it just seems too soon. I actually got all choked up with all the flash backs of Tohru and when Tohru started crying when he couldn't kill Natsuno. I seriously wanted to hug the poor guy. ):

Although, strangely enough I felt semi happy at the end, even though it's a bad thing. XD I admit, I kinda giggled when Tohru bit Natsuno and Megumi was like " D8 ". Haha, serves her right. *does not like Megumi*

Awww you dislike Megumi? Why? Dude if you say its cuz she complains a lot about her life then you have no right to speak. You do the same. Plus I don't think you could last in a small town in the middle of no where either missy. xDDD

I like her cuz I'd act the same way if I were stuck in a small town. I'd be bored and want out too. Being nowhere would annoy the shit out of me. xDD

I don't dislike her for that reason only. I mean, all teenage girls whine about their lives at some point in their life, and I'm guilty as charged. I'm sure a lot of other viewers kinda felt at least just a little irked, ( actually I know that, cause I've read blogs XD ). I can take that to a certain degree. What really turned me off to her completely is when she killed Tohru in episode five mainly because he was close to Natsuno and she wasn't. I understand alot of anime girls have obsessions with guys and stuff, but isn't killing his best friend going a little too far? Everyone has their own opinion, and I'm sure fans see some likable and relatable qualities in her. Until I find those things for myself, unfortunately I'll have to temporarily dislike her.

Funny thing is, I do live in a pretty small town. It's not exactly in the middle of no where since there's an urban-ish town twenty minutes away. The scary thing is, where I live it looks like a mix of Sotoba and Hinamizawa. No joke. I'd get screen shots and take pictures to prove it. XDDD

I'm sad....T_T

I found out the reason Shiki isn't updated is cuz they took a break till October 14th. So we won't get a new episode until then.

Awww I know. ) : I look forward to watching it every Thursday and now I have to wait? *sob*

Newest episode freaked me out at the end. D8
