Stuck!! (In the Abyss)

So, since we have several lovely new RP people, I thought it might be nice to make a more user-friendly RP. There are a lot more rules in this one than the older ones, and that is because I’m trying to bring it from informal to semi-formal ranking.

Plot: After a bit of an accident at the Saint Giovanni Mental Institute, many of the Pandora Hearts characters find themselves stuck in the Abyss, much to the delight of the Will and her Chains, who don’t seem to intend to let them free any time soon.

Start Date: 9-15-10 (after Cheshire's post)

Note: This is a Reset RP. All characters are reverted to original state.
What does this mean?
-Child OCs aren't born yet BUT they can join as unrelated OCs if you have your heart set on having them, or be born later (as long as both parents are present and RPers in agreement)
-Non-canon inter-character relationships are not in effect yet But they can pop back up if everyone involved is in agreement.
-Non-canon personality alterations are not in effect at the start But the controlling player can evolve (or simply turn) the canon character into the altered character

Note: This is a semi-formal RP. It is more lenient than a formal RP (by quite a lot), but also far more strict than an informal RP. Semi-formal role playing takes getting used to, but it’s lots of fun, I promise, and it’s really good for writers!
Semi-formal for the average non-RP junkie:
-This isn't intended to be a pure crack RP, so if your characters are capable of having serious time, they should!Of course, there are characters in exsistence who that's just not in character for. If yours is one of those, don't worry about it, but try not to burst more serious moments with crack, or try to balance it with a more serious character.
- No chat speak, please! Full words, full sentences where you can, and try to proofread your post (There is a very good reason behind this: both Alice and Cheshire are synesthetic, meaning they can read in colors (Alice) and (out loud) in flavors/scents (Cheshire), so messy spelling can mess with their reading ability more than other people. Plus, it's annoying). I’m going to try to make this a slower paced thread, so don’t worry about being speedy with the posting.
- You are encouraged to try paragraph posting! If you are comfortable with paragraph posts, you're encouraged to do them! if you aren't, then that's that, and just make sure you read the paragraphs carefully. Try to pick up the skill (it's actually really helpful for writing) if you can, but don't feel like you HAVE to paragraph or you CAN'T script-style. If you’ve never paragraph posted before but want to try it, take a look at a few veterans’ posts, then go for it! We won’t make fun.
- No flooding If someone hasn't posted in a long time, be courteous and don't post (especially if they are a big part of any conversations going on). So that the posting can be frequent, try to be active, or let us know if it's ok to skip you for a while, please. Some of us are more active than others, and I understand that, so let's all try to make this balanced! Please don‘t post more than twice until the rest of the rotation goes through so we don‘t have to catch up too much
-If you drop out, tell us, please don't just leave! also for extended vacations...
-Don't just skip things! Especially with paragraph posts, make sure you read them! some players put subtle things in their posts that might go passed over if they aren't read. Also, if you've been away, ask someone for the cliffnotes, or read the stuff you missed. Try to read at least the most recent full page if you've missed several pages.
-Try to respect the 'verse Since all the characters are PH Canon and PH-universe OCs, no one has extremely modern technology (So, Vincent, stop watching online porn and go get some pretty drawings; Break, that candy isn't coming from a vending machine... that's a street vendor; Cheshire... the laser pointer wasn't invented for another 200-500 years... have fun with your mice; Gil... I don't even want to know why you have a sub automatic machine gun now...; and Alice, stop cooking your meat with convection heat and start lighting that stove flame yourself.). Also, let's respect physics and biology... no m-preg (sorry to my fellow yaoi fangirls if you were planning on getting your favorite pairing a little fruit of the loins that way)(though some hermaphroditic chains (Loren (not that he's in this as of yet) being the only example I can think of off the top of my head) can do this), infemination (girls can’t be daddies. Period.) or inter-species breeding (certain chains do sort of have this ability, like Eques to horses and all chains, Cheshire to people and cats (and all chains), and Gryphon to lions, horses, eagles, and all chains)
-SLOW DOWN (if you need to) If you are a scripter who generally posts right around a paragraph poster, respect that their posts will undoubtedly take much longer than yours. Try going back and looking through your post, correcting mistakes in grammar and spelling.
- Don‘t make your OC god more godly as they go Decide your character‘s limits ahead of time. Certain characters might seem limitless (Sophie or Loren, for example) but they generally have boundaries (Sophie can only use her inherited chain powers to break physical laws when Vincent tells her to, Loren has limits on what can be transformed (as well as limits on some UNtransformation) as examples) and these limits are firm and should be unchanging. Your character shouldn’t gain powers as the adventure wears on (unless you can REALLY justify it well, or sacrifice an equal power) Also, don’t just swap out powers to suit the occasion.

The usual rules:
- No killing each other (unless everyone involved is in agreement) but please note that while in the Abyss, Chains may be killed so long as it’s feasible (meaning that a lonely trump card can’t off the Hatter, and the March Hare shouldn’t be nomming on Cheshire). Killed Chains can respawn after one post by their contractor’s player (The Will is watching you (and taking good care of automatically respawning your Chains for our psychotic massacring pleasure) even when her player is offline)
- No tentacle monstering (seriously… ask before you bed someone’s character) (unless you’re ACTUALLY a tentacle monster… then we’ll have to talk about that)
- Try to make posts clear as to who is doing what, no matter what style you use.
- No hating on the others’ RP style choice

The Character Rules:
- Upper limit is ten characters (maximum of five humans/extreme humanoids, maximum five animals/nonhumanoid Chains)
- At least one of your characters must be canon.
- If you pick a canon character with a chain, you must leave an appropriate character slot unfilled for that chain
- If you choose to be a chain, you do not have to have the contractor in your characters, but someone must have the contractor.
- babies are born after at least five posts from each parent’s player (if using a non-character (mule) parent, only the one player’s count is needed)

Emily, you're aware that Fluora can't be Break's sister for this, correct?
She can be a cousin of any sort, unrelated, a close acquaintance, a distant acquaintance, or any sort of unrelated person, but not a sister. She can also be a daughter if you clear it with Break and have her born at least ten of break's posts into the RP.

Also, to Ada and Emily, Flamingo wolf and SnakeEyes's contracts have to be made in RP. it can be first post if you want them right away, but it has to be in the RP.

even like, Cheshire's friendship with Suneka has to happen in RP, since he's never been in the same dimension as her.

And... let's see... everything. Even the smallest thing has to start over XD

I am in a small room. It is clean. It is safe. It is soft and cold. I play with my fingers and I suck on my toes. This clean room is very nice. Everything is all the same. Kiro looked at Santi for a bit. Santi just twiddled her thumbs quietly.
"Vitto! should we go on an adventure?"
Santi looked up. "Outside?"
Kiro nodded to Santi. The girl wriggled. "All you have to do is say that you want to make a contract with Kiro the Red Queen"
Santi shrugged and said it.
Kiro smiled and pounced on Santi, pushing her backwards into the wall, "As you wish"

The entire world warped inwards towards Santi for a moment, turned upside down, then righted itself and crumbled in. One... two... three... four dimensions collapsed into one momentarily, then split back out as best they could, leaving Santi hovering over a huge pit, watching as the floor of her world fell away brick by brick and people disappeared into the blackness. Kiro stared down, pushing the world's edges apart with all her might, then shrank to nothingness and Santi fell, clinging to the left side of her chest in excrutiation.

Cheshire is a cat and Cheshire knew that Cheshire would land on his feet. In theory he could be happy to be here, where his favorite person in the whole universe lives, but he really isn't since he has a large and important task that he has to take care of and it isn't anything here.
Cheshire looked at the banquet of defenseless people laid out like a buffet before him. Already trump cards and mad babies were gathering to feast at the edge of the banquet. Deciding quickly, he grabbed one and scurried off to find out why he'd been pulled away from his duty. Her room was, as always, bright and wonderful like she was. "Why am I here (nyaa)?" He might as well have been asking the dolls. He could smell her, but she was nowhere to be seen so he chose instead to entertain himself with what he'd brought home.

Santi woke back up to see Kiro floating aimlessly near her in a mist. She looked around.
Welcome to the Abyss, Vitto.
Santi looked at all the people and animals groggily looking around, and the advancing line of feasting chains in the "distance" and realized her mistake.
"Whoops...

Will wiped the water off his face. He wasnt to fond of parties, but social gatherings were a common thing for nobles. He sighed a long heavy sigh while still getting ready. Sasha looked up at him with loving eyes. He put his hard on his dogs head. "If only there was a way I didnt have to go to this event Sasha." he said putting his jacket on. "Well, I guess I better look on the bright side" He sighed again heavily. He gave himself one final look in the mirror. "I'm off Sasha!" Or at least, so he thought. There was a faint rumble in the distance. Will didn't even have a chance to scream before he was swallowed by the darkness.

Will awoke with Sasha's nose in his face with her soft crying. Her grasped her familiar face. "what is this?" His words echoed in the empty abyss.

Vincent did not like the doll. Its cute beady eyes annoyed him. He hated the doll. So he destroyed it. he grinned slightly as he sliced the dolls ear off. Everything was fine, everything was normal. Vincent sat up dropping his broken doll on the ground. There was the sound of an explosion, but it was one he knew all too well. "impossible" he muttered as he was swallowed by the darkness.

The abyss hadn't changed since he had last been there. HIs feelings for the place and the people who had fall into it hadn't either. What a joke, he though. He knew there was a way out of here, all he needed to do was find it. He left quickly and starting walking to the darkness.
